My Ideal Morning Routine

Your alarm goes off... you snooze 4 times... finally get up to realize you are late for work... so you run around all flustered getting the kids ready that you barely have time to get dressed, make coffee, eat breakfast and run out the door to catch your first meeting on time...


Sound Familiar.... yup that was me for years (well w/o kids yet), until I finally realized that a calm & relaxing morning will actually lead to more productivity & excitement!

But I hear this a lot, "I don't have time" which in some cases may be true but what you are really saying is that "I don't want to wake up earlier." But did you know that self-care is not actually selfish and is absolutely necessary for your personal health and well-being? This morning routine can actually help you become your best self from the inside out. It can help you be a better mom, spouse, friend, boss, co-worker, neighbor, and better version of yourself!



A morning routine doesn't need to take hours. When I first started I set my alarm 5 minutes earlier and completed each of these steps for 1 minute each. When I realized how much this was helping my mood and energy I gradually set my alarm 10 minutes earlier, 30 minutes earlier, and now 1 hour earlier. So the next time you lay your head on the pillow set your alarm 5 minutes earlier, don't snooze, wake up and try these 5 steps each for 1 minute.
